Notated by Kantemir (1673-1723) this peşrev is credited to Derviş Mustafa, a composer we don’t know much about other than he lived in the seventeenth century.
The piece is a good example of melodic structures one can expect to find in the seventeenth century music, with a pronounced heroic and up beat atmosphere.
