Buselik Semai, like many other works, has been transmitted to present day by way of Kantemir’s music collection. Kantemir (1673–1723) was a composer in the Ottoman court and he composed, collected and notated music that was being played in his era. 
Buselik Semai has a lyrical and pastoral atmosphere.
